Supreme Court Ruling: NDC will amend CI 126 when we win election 2020 – Sammy Gyamfi


The Director of communications of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Lawyer Sammy Gyamfi has warned that the next NDC government will amend CI 126 to make it all-inclusive for everyone to register.

The CI 126 make the Ghana Card and the Ghanaian passport the only legal identification documents for registering people in the new voters’ register.

According to the loud young politician, the CI 126 is an attempt to disenfranchise a lot of Ghanaians who do not have the two legal documents and the next NDC administration will amend it.

”Under the next NDC-Mahama government, by the grace of God, we will have an electoral law that is inclusive so that those who do not have the Ghana card and passport can also register so long as they the old voters’ ID or birth certificate” he said

Sammy Gyamfi added that in order to achieve this vision, he implored NDC supporters and Ghanaians to go out in their numbers to register so that John Mahama can win election 2020.
