Ghanaians might be pissed at Coach Kwesi Appiah for his show of technical bankruptcy; but they’re taking it easy on Caleb Ekuban, the player who missed his penalty during the penalty shootout.
Most Ghanaians seem to be happy that the team won’t be receiving winning bonuses no more whilst exhibiting boring football and lackadaisical attitudes on the pitch.
Social media posts on Ghana’s elimination have shown this including Nana Aba Anamoah’s call for the team to donate a portion of their winnings to charity to show that they are indeed sorry, instead of shedding crocodile tears.
Caleb Ekuban, who missed one of Ghana’s penalty which led to our exit from the tournament took to twitter to apologize to Ghanaians. But some Ghanaians have told Caleb to chill and relax because he did the country a great service by missing the penalty.
One Tweet reads: “Thank you Ekuban, you just saved your country a huge sum of money. Bravo you patriotic son! You are our hero,”
