The Foursquare Gospel Church In Nigeria sacks Dr. Boniface Igbenegu over ‘s*x for grades’ video

BBC’s investigative piece titled ‘s*x for grades’ has gone viral on social media, implicating one University of Lagos lecturer, Dr. Boniface Igbenegu who also doubles as a Pastor of a local church in Nigeria.

In lieu of this, The Four Square Gospel Church in Nigeria where Dr. Igbenegu Pastors, has by a press release dated October 7, 2019 and signed by their National Secretary Rev. Ikechuku Ugbaja, asked him to step down from all ministerial duties. 

The press statement which duly acknowledged the viral video, stated that “as a holiness and bible believing church, we do not condone such heinous and unscriptural acts amongst our ministers”.

The Four Square Gospel Church also disassociated themselves totally from the purported conduct of Dr. Boniface Igbenegu. And promised to take appropriate measure against their suspended Pastor as soon as ongoing investigations are concluded.
