Times are so hard that even Akufo-Addo’s Kalypo is now expensive – Edem

Ghanaian rapper, Edem has disclosed how the prices of goods and services are going so high under the Nana Akufo-Addo led government. And Edem thinks the Economic Management Team (EMT) should be up and doing.

Edem cited an instance where he used to buy ‘the President’s favorite’ Kalypo at a certain price which skyrocketed when the New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration came to power.

Edem spoke to Lexis Bill on Joy FM where he said “I see myself as a lay person who just want to be okay. I want to have light every day. I want to know that when I buy something today, I will buy it at the same price tomorrow at the same price. The last time I checked I was buying Kalypo for GH¢25 and I buy it every two weeks for my children because they take two to school every day. And then fast forward I am buying it for GH¢35 when I am going back to the market”.

Hammer’s former boy also revealed that school fees are becoming expensive by the day and it’s a worry to parents who want the best for their wards.
