Following the ban of Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy from the Vodafon Ghana Music Awards scheme, Charterhouse have announced that last year’s ‘Artiste of the Year’, Ebony Reigns, will continue to remain the ‘Artiste of the Year’.
During this year’s Vodafon Ghana Music Awards night, these two dancehall acts, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy together with their followers caused mayhem on stage as Stonebwoy was receiving the award for ‘Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year’.
With this development, the event organizers, Charterhouse decided not to announce two categories including the ‘Artiste of the Year’ category on stage.
Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy have been suspended indefinitely from participating in any aspect of the VGMAs.
With this new development and with the ‘Artiste of the Year’ category still unannounced, Chatterhouse have announced that last year’s winner, Ebony Reigns still reigns as the Artiste of the Year.
However, Nana Opoku Kwarteng aka Starboy Kwarteng, father of Ebony Reigns has greeted this news with excitement as he took to social media to state that his ‘baby girl’ Ebony Reigns is the ‘Real Queen’.
According to him, Ebony’s spirit masterminded every little bit of what happened on stage that day so that she can continue to Reign as ‘Artiste is the Year’.
