International Dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy has been formally charged for publicly displaying a firearm in public without seeking permission from the Inspector General of Police (IGP).
Stonebwoy however pleaded not guilty after the charge was presented to him at the Adjaben Magistrate Court Wednesday morning.
In addition, he is facing a different charge for threatening public peace; this charge has been placed on both Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale.
The Adjaben Magistrate Court has since admitted the two Dancehall bigwigs to a bail in the sum of GHC 50,000 each with a surety.
The two, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale were admitted to bail after they both pleaded ‘NOT GUILTY’ to threatening public peace; reference to their infamous disturbance that dented the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) which took place last Saturday.
Lawyers for the two artistes pleaded with the court to grant their clients a self-recognisance bail. However, the court, presided by Mr. Isaac Addo, refused their prayer and granted them bail with sureties attached.
The two dancehall artistes will be returning to court on the 20th of June, 2019.
