The prestigious Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) has had its fair share of controversies in past years and its no surprise that another of such grievances have popped up this year too.
The VGMA is in its 20th edition and sensational hiplife group Praye, have decided to boycott the event because of what they have described as “intentional mafia” from Charterhouse Ghana.
Just hours after the organizers of the awards, Charter House Ghana, released the list of the nominees for this year’s awards yesterday, the rejuvenated music trio, Praye, have launched attacks after being snubbed in the “Best Group” category.
Praye Honeho also known as the choirmaster took to Facebook to state that they have been the strongest group in the year under review. According to him, after their big comeback at the 2018 VGMAs, they have played various major shows and no other group comes any close to them.
He further stated that even though the awards is in its 20th year, Charter House keep repeating their mistakes because they have failed to learn.
