57-year-old madam Elizabeth Yamoah who graduated last Friday at the Odoben Presbyterian Junior High School after successfully writing her Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) has entertained listeners of Okay FM with her reading skills.
In a video available on social media, the mother of four was given an LPM (Live Presenter Mentioning) to read as a test of her reading abilities and she delivered to the of many.
Though she got some words wrong, it will be fair to note that most JHS graduates struggle to read very well so one can’t fault the 57-year-old who enrolled in the school in 2017.
She has become the toast of the town after she defied all odds to pursue academic excellence despite the challenges that she encountered in the three year period.
According to the headteacher of the school, Mr Samuel Quaye, the determination shown by madam Elizabeth is worth all the applause and the 3-mile journey to school from her village couldn’t deter her from coming to school on a daily basis.
However, madam Elizabeth Yamoah disclosed that said she was motivated by the introduction of free Senior High school(SHS) policy introduced by the government and encouragement from her children to enrol in 2017.
