Ghanaian dancehall artiste Epixode has hit back at Shatta Wale for calling him a mad man.
It will be recalled that Epixode reacted to Shatta Wale/Stonebwoy’s exclusion from this year’s VGMAs, stating that it is good for him because it will help him also get public attention.
However, this opinion did not sit well with Shatta Wale who came out to respond in a recent interview that Epixode is mad for saying that he is happy the two biggest dancehall acts in Ghana are not participating in this year’s VGMAs.
According to Shatta Wale, Epixode should look beyond awards and plaques because they can’t be used as collatoral for a loan.
In his response, Epixode has explained that he agrees that a plaque can’t get him a loan. However, in 50 years time his kids can get hold of the plaque and proudly say that this is what their dad achieved as a musician.
He added that the mere fact that it can be added to your CV alone is encouraging because the VGMA platform is very huge. Since the event is aired worldwide, someone can spot a young talent and easily pick up and help them when they get the VGMA nomination or recognition.
He ended his video by hilariously saying that Shatta Wale is his father. So if he is mad, “I and my father are one”.
