Former first gentleman of Ghana, Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings parked his car and took the initiative to direct traffic in the middle of the road after drivers on a T-junction along the Accra-Aflao road got themselves in a traffic mess.
Some careless drivers decide to use the shoulders of the road, thereby creating four lanes on a single lane road. This resulted in heavy unnecessary traffic at the junction leading to Prampram in the Greater Accra region.
Papa J as he is affectionately called could not sit back and watch this act of indiscipline when he got there, but jumped in to help direct these drivers who had been stuck in traffic for over an hour.
He has since made a passionate appeal to the heads of the police and military to get some officers posted at that area to manage traffic and ensure discipline.
