Cardi B was in the country to headline the Livespot X Festival which took place at the Accra Sports Stadium on the 8th of December, 2019.

And she has trended ever since she stepped foot on the soils of Ghana for many reasons including her supposed “snub” of a tall list of Ghanaian celebrities who converged to Meet and Greet her.
As part of news trending, A-list artistes including Shatta Wale and Sarkodie who were originally billed to perform did not step foot on stage. Shatta Wale has since given a reason why he did not perform but we think there is more to it than just what he has said.
Well, a few celebrities have benefited from her visit. One of them is video vixen Akuapem Poloo who is now an international twerking star after Cardi B described her as a twin on the back of their twerking challenge when she finally got to meet these celebrities.
However, one issue other which is coming up for discussion is how our A-list artistes were ill-treated backstage because Cardi B was in the country to perform.
In a video sighted by societywatch.net, an eyewitness has narrated how the manager and dancers of an A-list artiste in Ghana was refused entry backstage for what the bouncers explained as security reasons.
We seem to forget that these stars who come to the country to perform are stars because of how their own people treat them. If we believe we have stars in Ghana, we should treat them as such and stop discriminating anytime they are pegged against international artistes.
