The President of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has reacted to calls on him by Ghanaians to lock down the country totally.
These calls have comes from a section of concerned Ghanaians who feel that the best solution to Ghana’s coronavirus battle is to lock down the country. Else, when things get out of hands, the country does not have the requisite resources (human and logistics) to fight the battle.
And the Ghana Medical Association who are one of those in the fore front of the battle have also called for a total lock down.
But according to the President, the government is looking at all the implications before taking the decision to either lock down the country or not. And that is what the Council of State and Ghana’s COVID-19 Response committee.
Addressing the press, President Nana Addo said; “A responsible government is required to look at all the implications before decisions are made. And that is the exercise we are currently engaged in, and I am hoping that much sooner than later, we will come to an agreement on what those measures are and the Ghanaian people will be informed”.
