A wedding day is one of the special days in the life of any individual, and ladies especially revere this day so much because they see it as an honour walking down the aisle.
But in modern times, weddings have moved from a private family event to a display of class and affluence where people want to have the best of this special day. And it comes at a cost.
Considering the current economic situation and how much the average first degree holder earns from their paid jobs, it has become a burden for men who dream of taking a woman to the altar.
However, a lifeline just dropped as an advert has been spotted on social media, advertising a very attractive wedding package for just GHC 1,000.
This package which in an initiative by the Charismatic Evangelistic Ministry in Accra will cater for a set of rings, two witnesses from both sides, one crate of drink, one box of water to be provided by the church, 20 packs of food for a maximum of 20 invited guests amongst others.
Checks by societywatch.net with the Pastor in-charge of this initiative confirmed the package. However, the package will only be valid for members of the church for now.
The Pastor explained that this package has been put together to cut down on extravagant weddings and to encourage many young men and women to formalize their relationships.
It will be recalled that the Church of Pentecost recently banned extravagant weddings, due to the stress and financial burden most young people have to go through just to have a “decent” wedding.
