Ghanaian boxing prodigy Isaac Dogboe has lost his WBO Super Bantamweight title to Mexican Emmanuel Navarette by a unanimous decision from the judges.
The bout which took place in the United States of America saw Isaac attempt to defend his title for the second time. He however failed to produce the same brilliance he exhibited during his fights with Magdaleno and Juarez which saw him take hold on to the title.
This defeat is Isaac’s first in 21 fights and the fighter who had a badly swollen face after the fight said that he will “take a break, regroup and aim to come back to the top again.”
Two of the judges scored the bout 116- 112 in favour of Navarette while the last judge scored it 115 -113 also in favour of the Mexican.
