Former Ghanaian captain, Asamoah Gyan has slammed journalists who are still blaming Ghana’s failure to reach the 2010 World Cup semifinals in Brazil on him.

Today is exactly 10 years ago that the Black Stars were eliminated by Uruguay in the quarterfinals of the competition through a penalty shootout.

It will be recalled that Barcelona striker, Luis Suarez denied Ghana a goal by using his hands to stop a goal scoring opportunity which the resultant penalty was blasted to the goal post by Asamoah Gyan.

A lot of Journalists have taken to social media to blame the former Liberty Professionals striker for denying Ghana the opportunity to be the first African country to reach the semifinals of the Mundial.

This seems not to have gone well with the Baby Jet claiming he is chilling in his own shield whilst some journalists are still discussing the issue that happened a decade ago.
“We celebrate failure more than achievements. Me di333 I dey my corner dey enjoy myself. My family is very proud me. That’s what matters to me the most 🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️💪💪🙏🙏“ he tweeted
