Former Black stars player Stephen Baidu has descend heavily on Black Stars management for not having inspirational player in their current team.

Mr. Baidu speaking live on the Ultimate sports show on Multimedia’s Asempa FM lamented that, “if you are playing a game and you don’t have anyone you play for, it’s not easy. When you are playing a game and you don’t have someone who inspires you within the team, it is very difficult”.

“Sometimes you need to look at people and crown them kings. We are not having inspirers, as Ghanaians always say and if you don’t have one, it is very difficult. You must have one pin point person we all play for as a team.”

Mr Baidu also reiterated that, we have inspiration in and out of the field, that’s why we have a leader who is a coach on the field. Coach’s duty is to teach you tactics on the field of play. But for a leader, when things get tough he stands out to make sure that things work out on the field of play.”

Captaincy has been a problem for a while in the Black stars camp. As it stands now, Asamoah Gyan is the captain for the senior national team but there have been serval complaints of Dede Ayew wanting to captain the Black stars. This has led to the team not having a good leader to lead the team since the departure of Stephen Appiah and John Mensah.
