The editor of The Informer newspaper, Andy Kamkam has threatened that if the leadership of the National Democratic Congress wants changes in the minority leadership, then they will have no option than to effect changes at the party headquarters to the flag bearer.
According to the experienced journalist and members of the NDC in an interview with Philip Osei Bondu on Asempa FM’’s Ekosiisen, the leadership of the party lied to its numerous supporters that the 2020 presidential election was rigged but couldn’t provide enough evidence at the Supreme Court.
Andy Kamkam in his submission mounted a strong defence for the minority in parliament intimating that, Rt. Hon. Alban Bagbin was a credible minority leader for eight years and there was no way he and the minority could have rejected designated ministers who were vetted and approved on the floor of Parliament.
His reaction was in response to calls by Anita Desoso and leadership of the party who have threatened to change the leadership of the party in parliament following the approval of Mavis Hawa Koomson, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah and Ken Ofori Attah as Ministers and the subsequent resignation of Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, citing betrayal as basis for his resignation from the Parliamentary Appointment Committee.
However, Andy Kamkam further noted that Okudzeto’s resignation was influenced by the Volta and Oti Region caucus of the NDC in parliament who claiming “holier than the Pope”.
