Mr. Kwadwo Barko, father of the late Anokye Supremo has made a public appeal to the general public and well to do Ghanaians to help him raise the needed funds to bring down the mortal remains of the late musician, and give him a befitting burial as the customs of their family demands.
Speaking in an interview with Adom FM’s Mike Two on “Adom Entertainment Show”, Mr. Barfo revealed that the family would need to settle an outstanding balance of $21,000, being the cost incurred at the hospital where his son died.
He also stated that aside this bill, there are other bills they would have to settle to the private mortuary where the body is at the moment. This was because the government hospital where he was operated stated they couldn’t keep his body for more than 2 days.
Again, the family is also relying on the Ghanaians to help convey Anokye Supremo’s remains from India to Ghana for burial.
Anokye Supremo died on the 30th January 2019 in coma after he had successfully undergone a brain tumor surgery in India
