You are singing dead men’s dialogue – Nana Fitz extinguishes Mustapha Ussif’s AFCON dream

Veteran football administrator, Nana Fitz has admonished Youth and Sports Minister, Mustapha Ussif to sit up and strategize good policies that will fast track the development of Sports in the country.

In an interview with Seth Dadze on Atinka FM, he disproved the Yagaba-Kubori MP’s task given to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to end the country’s trophy drought since 1982.

“The sports minister is singing a dead men’s dialogue and this is what all the previous sports minister said. We should tell them the truth that we can’t win the AFCON trophy because we are changing our football system, ” he bemoaned.

Nana Fitz questioned whether the FA will refund monies spent on the team if the Black Stars are unable to annex the 2021 African Cup of Nation.

“Now you tasked them if money was given to them and they were not able to bring the trophy.

“A system that we are working with is not functioning. Will anybody tell them (GFA) to bring back the money?

“Tell the minister that talk is cheap so he should sit up properly to come up with very good ideas and stop the dead men’s dialogue,”
he concluded.

Meanwhile, the four-time champions (Black Stars) have participated in the Africa Cup of Nation 23 times and managed to win the trophy in 1963, 1965, 1978 and 1982.

However, the team is yet to break the 38 AFCON trophy drought which is slated in Cameroon 2021
